The cozy farming RPG leaves Early Access today with marriage, kids, and a finished town story.
Players who put dozens or hundreds of hours into Fields of Mistria finally get the complete package. NPC Studio’s pixel-art life sim, which launched into Steam Early Access on August 5, 2024, reaches version 1.0 exactly two years later on August 5, 2026.
The Chicago indie team kept the price locked at $13.99 and confirmed existing saves carry over. No need to restart your farm or relationships.
What’s New in 1.0
Romance gets the biggest glow-up. Heart caps rise from 8 to 10. Romanceable villagers now offer proposal and wedding events, plus the option to start a family with children. New Saturday Market vendors Stillwell and Zorel expand the weekly town gathering.
The central Town Repair storyline wraps up completely. Renown level cap climbs to 100. Extra dungeon quests and rewards appear in the mines, alongside more museum sets, skill perks, furniture, cosmetics, and mount skins (including that giant chicken fans spotted in trailers). Steam Achievements arrive, and the first wave of beta localizations covers Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Spanish.
Why the Community Is Hyped
Fields of Mistria already sits at Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam with roughly 98% positive reviews from nearly 29,000 players. Its ’90s anime-inspired art, solid combat in the mines, and deeply written villagers carved out a strong niche among Stardew Valley fans looking for something with more personality and magic.
NPC Studio treated Early Access as a genuine conversation with players. Regular major updates added festivals, new love interests, and quality-of-life fixes. The studio has already said post-1.0 content is planned, so the farm life doesn’t stop here.
Console ports remain under evaluation after the PC launch. For now the game stays Steam Deck Verified and ready for anyone with a Windows PC.
If you’ve been waiting for the full romance arc or just want a polished cozy RPG that respects your time, the gates to Mistria are open. Grab your tools, check the request board, and start planning those weddings.
